Dental implants can add retention to a removable overdenture or support a fixed full-arch restoration. We compare implant number, prosthesis design, hygiene needs, and bone conditions in Leesburg.

Conventional dentures rest on the gums and depend on fit, muscle control, and sometimes adhesive for retention. As oral tissues and bone change, the appliance may require adjustment, relining, or replacement.
Implant dentures use fixtures in the jaw for support or retention. Some designs snap off for daily cleaning; others are fixed with screws and removed only by a dental professional. Each approach has different hygiene and maintenance requirements.
At Advanced Dental Care in Leesburg Village, our prosthodontist-led team coordinates implant planning, indicated grafting, and restorative design for snap-on overdentures and fixed full-arch options.

“I wanted to be with somebody who really cared about my journey and what I was looking for. She just looked me in my eye and told me, I hear you, I listen to you. And she did. 2–4 Implants
Removable dentures that click onto implants with ball or locator attachments. Can be taken out for cleaning. Most affordable implant option while dramatically improving stability over traditional dentures.
Learn More3–4 Implants
A thin metal bar follows the curve of your jaw and attaches to implants. The denture clips onto this bar for excellent retention while remaining removable for hygiene.
Learn More4–6 Implants
Permanently screwed onto implants and only removable by your dentist. No adhesives, no removal, no slipping, ever. Closest experience to natural teeth possible.
Learn More4–6 Implants
Full arch of fixed teeth on just 4–6 strategically angled implants. Often possible even with bone loss. Same-day teeth available in many cases.
Learn MoreComplete exam with 3D cone beam CT scan to evaluate your bone density and determine the best implant denture option for your anatomy and budget. You receive a detailed treatment plan with costs before any commitment.
Any remaining failing teeth are gently extracted. Bone grafting is performed if needed to ensure adequate implant support. A temporary denture keeps you functional throughout healing.
Dental implants are placed under local anesthesia or IV sedation at our Leesburg office. For most patients, this is surprisingly comfortable with minimal post-op discomfort.
Implants integrate with your jawbone over 3–6 months. You wear a temporary denture during this time so you are never without teeth.
Your custom implant denture is fabricated and fitted. For snap-on dentures, attachments are placed on the implants. For fixed dentures, the prosthetic is permanently secured.
Implants lock your dentures in place. No more embarrassing movement while eating, speaking, or laughing in Leesburg social settings.
Traditional dentures provide only 10–20% of natural bite force. Implant dentures restore up to 90%, letting you eat steak, apples, and corn again.
Implants stimulate your jawbone just like natural tooth roots, preventing the facial collapse and aged appearance that comes with traditional dentures.
Never buy denture cream again. Implants provide secure retention that adhesives cannot match.
Without dentures moving around, you speak clearly and naturally without whistling, clicking, or slurring.
While the upfront cost is higher, implant dentures last 15–25 years versus 5–7 years for traditional dentures, making them more economical over time.

Book ConsultationImplant dentures are full-arch tooth replacements anchored by titanium implants surgically placed in your jawbone. Unlike traditional dentures that rest on your gums and require adhesive, implant dentures snap or screw onto these implants for rock-solid stability. The implants fuse with your bone over 3–6 months (osseointegration), creating a permanent foundation. Options range from removable snap-on overdentures to permanently fixed All-on-4 restorations.
Ideal candidates are missing most or all teeth in one or both arches, are frustrated with loose traditional dentures, have adequate jawbone density (or are willing to undergo bone grafting), are in reasonable overall health, and do not smoke or are willing to quit during healing. Even patients previously told they could not have implants due to bone loss may qualify using All-on-4 techniques. Your free 3D CT scan consultation at our Leesburg office will definitively determine your candidacy.
Snap-on (removable) dentures click onto 2–4 implants using ball or locator attachments. You remove them nightly for cleaning. They cost less but require more maintenance. Fixed implant dentures are screwed permanently onto 4–6 implants and only removed by your dentist for periodic cleaning. They feel most like natural teeth, never move, and require no daily removal. Most patients prefer fixed for the superior experience, though snap-on is an excellent affordable option.
The complete process typically takes 4–8 months. After your consultation and planning (1–2 weeks), implants are placed in a single appointment. Healing takes 3–6 months while you wear a temporary denture. Finally, your custom permanent denture is fabricated and fitted (2–3 appointments). Some patients qualify for same-day teeth with immediate-load All-on-4 protocols, where you leave with fixed temporary teeth the same day as surgery.
We use local anesthesia so you should feel little during the procedure, and IV sedation is available for anxious patients. Most patients report the recovery is easier than expected, with mild soreness managed by over-the-counter pain relievers for 3–5 days. The discomfort is far less than living with loose, uncomfortable traditional dentures. Many of our Leesburg patients say the brief recovery was worth the life-changing result.
With proper care, the titanium implants themselves can last for decades. The denture prosthesis typically lasts 15–25 years for fixed versions and 10–15 years for snap-on varieties. The snap-on attachments may need replacement every 1–2 years (a quick, inexpensive office visit). Compare this to traditional dentures which need complete replacement every 5–7 years due to bone loss and wear.
Yes, this is one of the biggest benefits. Traditional dentures restore only 10–20% of natural bite force, making steak, raw vegetables, and crusty bread impossible. Implant dentures restore 80–90% of bite force. With fixed implant dentures, you can eat virtually anything: steak, apples, corn on the cob, crusty bread, raw carrots. Snap-on dentures allow most foods, though very sticky or hard items may require some caution.
You may still be a candidate. The All-on-4 and All-on-6 techniques were specifically designed for patients with bone loss by angling the back implants to engage denser bone areas that remain even after years of denture wear. Many patients who were told "no" elsewhere qualify at our Leesburg office. If bone grafting is needed, we perform it in-house and it adds only a few months to your timeline.

This office came highly recommend and I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking dental care. I have a phobia about dentist. After having a dental implant, cavities filled and Invisalign done. I can honestly say I’m much calmer about my visits. The care I’ve received is excellent and the staff is amazing at Advance Dental care.
I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding dental treatment I have received under care of Esthequi dentistry. Thank you Dr Talwar and Dr Bathea did my implant now I had a beautiful smile. Highly recommend that warming greetings from the stuff of Esthequi make feel home. ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been to many dental offices and had lots of my teeth worked on. From implant to crown, etc. And honestly, this is the best dental office I’ve been to. The staffs there are very knowledgeable and courteous. I had two different doctors worked on the implant of my right front tooth. Doctor Bhatia did removed my broken tooth (tooth was completely loose and about to fall off), and had the implant and bone graft and a beautiful temporary tooth in the same day. And my gum on that implant tooth still looks normal. I certainly can tell the amazing experiences doctor Bhatia is. And I think both of the doctors that worked on my implant are in the prime of their career. My last implant (different front tooth)with a different doctor was good (and he was supposed to be the top dentist in Chevy Chase Maryland), but the gum receded so bad that I had to have the gum graft by a different doctor. From my experience with many years going to dental offices. And my comparison of Advance Dental Care to all other dental offices I’ve been to. I can tell how honest the doctors in Advance Dental Care in comparison to other dental offices. The two doctors I saw today are like two angels healing people teeth (without greed, or being greedy). Today 8-22-2025. I got my final crown completed and a teeth cleaning. And there is not even a slight space between the gum and the crown. There is absolutely no gum receding. And the new crown color matches perfectly to my other three crown next to it which were previously done by the top doctor at Chevy Chase I mentioned above. And it’s absolutely look as natural as it get. Perfect job and pretty painless. I highly recommend anyone to come and try and experience for yourself.
